Devon Goyo
Associate
Devon is an associate lawyer at Parente Borean LLP with a broad litigation practice, with a focus on estate litigation, construction litigation, and family law, as well as other civil disputes. He completed an Honours Specialization at Western University and earned his Juris Doctor from Western Law.
Devon regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and has experience appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Small Claims Court. He is committed to practical, results-driven advocacy and works closely with clients to navigate challenging disputes efficiently and strategically. Devon values alternative dispute resolution where appropriate and has resolved many matters through mediation.
Devon has advocated for clients across a wide range of estate litigation matters, including will challenges, passing of accounts, power of attorney disputes, and dependant support claims. His construction litigation experience includes construction lien claims, breach of contract and breach of trust disputes, and deficiency matters. Devon also acts for clients in family law proceedings involving parenting, support, and property disputes.
Devon is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association and is a Notary Public in Ontario.
Outside of the office, Devon trains Muay Thai and stays active in his gym.
